Summer Sunshine

Rows of sunflowers brighten our garden every summer. Viewed from the road, they cheer passing visitors and neighbors alike.

Morning Harvest

Just a small portion of our daily harvest of heirlooms and artisan cherries. Add to that our peppers, potatoes, bush and pole beans, cucumbers and cut flowers and you’ll have a great selection of fresh produce to choose from. Stop by and check us out.

Who knew?

This 1884 heirloom variety tips the scale at more than two pounds. We grew them for the first time and love everything about them.

Not All Bumblebees Can Fly!

Pink bumblebees, purple bumblebees and sunrise bumblebees fill a basket nearly every day. We can hardly keep up with the demand. Get ‘em while you can.

Yeah, we know. We’re out of control! We’ve selected varieties that we’ve found at farm stands, at farmer’s markets, on-line, and in dozens of catalogues. We grow them from seeds we’ve saved and from seed packets we’ve bought. They all get loving care and, although we’re not certified organic, we use only “natural” methods to start our plants. And in the summer, we sell all of this and more at our roadside stand. Check it out and visit us during harvest season. Till then we’re selling with curbside phone orders to comply with physical distancing recommendations; masks are appreciated. Stay safe.

To our valued customers:

After seeing car after car slow down at our farm stand in anticipation of our spring opening and then drive away, we’ve decided to “partially open”. Just pull over to the side of the road and call us at 570-202-7324 and we’ll come to you at your car and safely fill your order, using all of the proper “social distancing” precautions. We’re staying at home, so we’ll be here.

We have beautiful herbs—flat Italian parsley, curly parsley, oregano, Italian Genovese basil, Purple Petra basil, lettuce leaf basil, and (new this year) Tulsi (holy) basil. We also have a few brassicas left—cauliflower, cabbage and Brussels sprouts.

We hope this works out for all of us during this difficult time. We’re glad to do our part to keep life as normal as possible. Stay safe.

We’ve grown elephant garlic for our customers for many years. It’s a best seller, available in July. But just look at it now!

Peppers Get An Early Start

We grow 19 varieties of peppers — some hot, some sweet. There’s something for everyone at our farm stand.

The Start Of It All

We start our thousands of seedlings in a spare bedroom under lights, then repot them in our greenhouse where they continue to thrive. Look for them at our farm stand in April.
